Which day is this? Ican't find these clues in today's Quick.

Today 5th online

Sorry - we had finished today's in the paper, so I thought that I could just look at the answers.

Flat circular plate (5), ends in c

But only has four letters, not 5.

Skilfully contrived (9) -NEL---U-

E and L are wrong. I'm not clear where you get the E from as it isn't a crosser.
