1dn and 2dn "fandoms" and "yoicked" are not in my Chambers!

They're both in mine, the 12th edition.

Out of interest, where does it give the edition number? All I can find in my more recent copy was that it was published in 1998 (my older version was 1972, and I have one around somewhere even older than that!)

On the first inside page of mine, there's a wee spiel about the origin of Chambers - and at the end it mentions it being the twelfth edition. The next two pages also have '12th edition' on them. The copyright page, just before the contents page, says 'This twelfth edition published by Chambers Harrap Publishers Ltd. 2011'.

Thanks, Joan. I don't know how many editions there wer between 1998 and 2011, but mine is obviously out of date.

Fandom and yoick are the 11th Ed as well.

no fandom in my 7th ed(1988) but there is the verb yoick.
Interesting that Chambers on-line does not give
fandom.
