BUT what is the cryptic significance of BITTER???

Is "festering" not "becoming bitter" rather than simply "becoming"?

Yes Get the PREDICT and IN THIS WAY bits
It is BESOT.
But thinks its sloppy to equate BESOT with LOVE
When one is besotted (as one so often is!!!!)
one is stupified and dulled BECAUSE of Love.
As one is Besotted with drink.
NEVER MIND.
Will call it a day and do some pottering.
