Just one left on which I can make no progress.

14D Cover up tank with bad novel (9) ?O?B?I?E?

Now, I know a bad novel is a bomb and BOMBSITES fits but where is the rest of the wordplay? The only other two possibilities from Chambers are GORBLIMEY and POTBOILED; neither of which make sense.

POTBOILER.
Cover (TOP) up = POT. Tank = BOILER.

Use autofill to insert your email address and it will overwrite your nickname with your true identity, as it did in my case, and you will need to change it back again if you don't want your freinds to know you have cheated when you win the DVD recorder. (In case you didn't realise the Ant is a minor river in Norfolk, not like the Ure in God's country). Sorry for the delay in replying, it's the first time I've had my computer up since Wednesday

Brian the trick is to type your nickname and then use autofill for email address as I have just done (and always do)

Thing is, to cut down on spam I keep one email address for online registrations and another one for friends and family. The simplest thing here is just to type, say, 'x' in the email box. The address isn't necessary.

SORRY MAMYA! What you suggest is exactly what I did when my name appeared on my original message in this thread and I've just repeated it now and it's over written my nickname again.

But if I don't enter my email address I won't get any notification when you reply!

Brian -- you get notifications? I never did, even when I used my email address!

Bullfrog.

(Only) when you start a new thread, there is an option that you can select to be notified of replies (the default is not to be notified).
