I've finishes but the Russian authors spelling is causing me a problem. If 35d is correct (using your ear) then Mr D ends in a I: but surely it conventionally ends in Y. Also effects 34d. Any views please?

Thanks, I'd played with paper and the idea of desks but didn't see that! Will persevere with last six and be back later no doubt.

Ive spelt it with an I at the end, the Y in the middle, so 34 down gets the E. It is normally spelt differently, but it can't be anything else.
