Issue containing jumbo crossword completely filled

we have. SATED but can't work out why.

I was stuck on this for quite a while

I think it's

SAT(urday) ED(ition)

They're both abbreviations that would be allowed SAT + ED
And the Saturday Edition is the issue that contains the Jumbo Crossword
Completely filled = Sated
