36 down is typewritten. I'm struggling with the other two. Thought 32 down could be "test the water" but can't see why, so maybe not.

The HOIZONTAL one is a particularly nice clue.

The sausage is CHORIZO, end of pan is N and big is TALL. Put them all together and slice each end gives horizontal which is flat.
