I understand the link - ie who the playwright is - but can't work out:

16, 20d 8's brand copies arising without terrible battle. (8,6)

S_ _ _ _ _ T _ / _ _ _ _ E _

I've used up all the pays I know of. But his brand?

It is a play Hortensia - brand is part of the wordplsy. Think another word for "copies" backwards at start of the first word

Well I didn't get it, and it's the last one I'm stuck on! So if one of you kind souls could actually supply the answer, I'd be grateful! Thanks!
