14d End of short journey through island to a port (9) ??R?????? know I'm going to kick myself..

Tarragona rings a bell with me, I'm not sure from where.

Thank you kilowatt - all makes sense! Tarragona is in southern Spain

I could not remember where it was but it seemed to leap out at me. That's how a lot of my solving gets done.

I hope I'm not going to kick myself but it makes no sense to me.
Tarragona is a port - with the 'r' in the right place - but how do the journey and the island fit with Tarragona to confirm that it is the correct answer?

pretty obscure island! I can find "islotes arragon" off the coast of chile

I think that 'to journey' is GO and that the island is ARRAN
