6d 'Issues over clubs making way for woman and son in Ireland, say' (11)= 'republishes'. I can't follow the wordplay with any confidence; could someone walk me through it (very slowly please, in view of my advancing years)?

Ireland is the "Republic". TRake away clubs (C) to make way for woman (SHE) and son (S) gives REPUBLI(c)SHE S = issues

I forgot to add that "over" in the clue is in the sense of "again" so that (issues over)is how you get republishes as opposed to publishes
