Stuck on the last two. 23ac Hot stuff leading to blues in 2 (10) I have "nous" for 2 (though I'm not sure that it matches the definition in the clue)

That would give "decibel" as a measure of the sound of things for 19dn, - what has this got to fo with Lord Byron peice's?

Also "loos" rather than the puzzling "nous" for 2dn - that makes more sense ("sol" rather than "sun" for "Love in the sun, upshot engagement

DB is in LorD Byron and extended gives decibel.

23 is lava (hot stuff) + tories (blues) hence 2 must be loos
