Revised rules to follow;

A new contest for midweek;

The idea (like Clueless) is to set a cryptic clue to a given answer.

The twist is everyone who posts a clue gets to comment on the clues AND vote for the winner (not yourself). Multiple entries are welcome. You MUST post a clue for your vote to count. One vote per contestant – please state the post number you are voting for.
The entry with the most qualifying votes wins and sets next week’s PEER REVIEW. In the event of a tie the setter chooses the winner.

There is 1 day time frame. Your clue must be posted by 1.30pm Friday; voting opens at 1.30pm Friday. The voting deadline is 4.30pm Friday, the winner to be announced shortly afterwards. The setter donates an online prize.

Is the "literary man" a convention for Man Friday? Just wondered as collecting them (yes, should get out more).
I've just realised I don't actually want to vote in public, but there are a couple of clues I think are brilliant.

Renown is indeed the Ship.

I don't think I'm going to be able to vote as I have to be at harbour to board ship at 2pm. (That doesn't mean you can't vote for me though!)
