Jimi Hendrix had something to do with Here Comes the Axeman so your answer is correct

The word play is The chap is HE, with nothing is NIX (slang) , about bones = doctor or DR

The other one is IDEA. If you "watch does" you "eye deer" which sounds like IDEA

A very nice clue!
