i am new to the times crossword club and while i am learning fast i had trouble with areas of the cryptic 957
am still stuck on 54a where to find bird ? that's very silly and 51d run the nation
help please

The place to find a bird is IN A NEST and very silly is INANEST

RACE has a double meaning here = nation and = race

.... in the second explanation I meant to say race = run
