5a) Stand back behind horse with fairy (6)

- O - W - B. I've put in Cobweb

Cob = Horse and Cobweb = Fairy, but can't see where I'm getting the WEB part from with stand back.

Any ideas?

Cobweb is a Shakespearian fairy BE plus W backwards

You have put BE and W backwards....
Can you explain that bit please (BE and W backwards) ?

W = with.
eb backwards gives Be = stand (pretty ropey, i think). - be in favour of/stand for?

Cheers trevor, the With = w just clicked when I went to make a brew, I agree Stand = Be was a tad ropey.
