Can anyone help please? I've got the answers but don't understand why!

1.to clean eg, office block windows, they are suspended in a cradle
2. Hunt expected to arrive in reverse = course due in
3. Polish Pope in year 2000???

just checked and the pope was indeed Polish at the start of this century (pole position in motor racing is the other reference).

I'd just like to point out, as a pedant, that the 21st century commenced on 1 January 2001, not 2000.

Trevor's point still holds, though. The pope was still Polish on both dates.

if i wanted to be pedantic i could point out that i never said it didn't :-)

And this pedant would like to point out that, though trevor's statement is correct, the pope was already Polish before the century began.

would have to be up pretty early during the Renaissance to catch me out.
