Thinking BARYE? (unit of pressure) Not many words to choose from but can't work out which one and why!

Hi - I think it might be barge - lighter = barge
pub = bar
nothing inside guide = ge-

Yes, I guess it can only be BARGE from the logical way to get the GE bit, still seems an odd answer to the whole clue though. Although I guess if we had a holiday on a barge we'd probably stop at each pub...

Whoops, sorry Jimbo, just noticed you put lighter = barge and sure enough you're absolutely right! Lesson learned = look up all words!
