I know the answer is LETHEAN but I don't see the connection with "a knight".

Hi Bob,
If you drank from the river Lethe it caused forgetfulness + A N(Knight in chess)

Hi Jerry,

I am sure that many years ago when I played chess the shorthand for a Knight was Kt. Have they now changed it to N?

Just checked out a chess website and N = knight
All abbreviations beginning with K refer to King something or other
