I am well flummoxed and to add to my annoyance have pulled up the paper online but for the life of me cannot find a link to the crossword, am going to put the kettle on LOL

have another look at the down clues, have seen this explanation

Regina is correct but gives (A) nit (N)
captivates = enthrals gives you another (A)
so as stated Mistakable is correct

Sorry, the N I put in earlier was wrong cos I thought the intersecting word was enchant but I now know it is enthral changing the 2nd N to A. Hence the answer IS mistakable. Buy d record next week for answers.
