37d "Studying plants in marsh,shade is cool(10) - I have B?T?N?S?N? It seems to be something to do with botany but I cannot find the actual word!

I am sure you are right but I am still having difficulty breaking it down! I can see that tan = shade and is forms part of the clue but which leaves bo and ing. I cannot see where marsh comes into it!

In = 'in'
Bog = 'marsh'

bog = marsh
tan - shade (as you said)
cool = in
