Mornin' all.

Start climbing over duke's old military shelter = testudo (which I know the meaning of).

Strong and healthy, not like ordinary seamen = able bodied. (To me, this could be a proper clue if it didn't have NOT.)

First one - start = outset (reversed) over (d)uke

Second one - The rank below Able Bodied (AB) is Ordinary Seaman so being an AB is not like an Ordinary Seaman
