Hi. 2dn - I'm fairly sure I have the answer to this but would someone be kind enough to explain please? I'm sorry I can't give the clue without revealing other answers so, just for those who have already done this one. Thanks.
Also stumped by 22dn.

I have an explorer for the answer, but don't see the cryptic bit either??
I have sack for 22d. - In that corner 22a and 20d don't seem to work for me?? Have you got answers/

Am in same position:can justify SPINACH & EROICA,but they don't fit together:can Paul have miscalculated?Thought at first 20 was evince,with ref. to 16+7's player with Italian name,but that leaves the total word unclued.What to do?Have to get my answer in the post here within 30 mins!!!

Definite error when you look at 22Ac & 20 Dn, EROICA (Italian for HEROIC) is the only solution to 20dn and SPINACH, CAN in HIPS all reversed, is the only answer to 22Ac. I'm doing a PDF version. It's not one of those that can be resolved in the print version, because it's thematic. Oh dear!
