Correspondence from one in side(6).

I should be able to get this one but I'm not seeing it. Not 100% certain of the D but could be ODDITY?

Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated.

So the D was wrong.
It's one of those clues that follows on from the previous one:

...letter from abroad giving expected termination of journey(3).

I had END which is obviously wrong. So now it is E - A.

The previous clue was

Native of Central Africa has right to a letter from abroad...(5)
