Hi Bob/Jerry

Back from the land of the midnight sun now and, like Bob, a bit slow with this one. I am glad that Jerry helped with 12a, when Bob had referred to 6a because I have the latter (STENGAH) but not the former !

Regards,
Alan

Sorry Lads,
I misread Bob's original post an d just saw AH.
4d is an anagram of kindness + cane, the first word
of it is a cricketing term of 5 letters (5,3,4).
If I had Sky I would have watched the cricket, saw
the highlights though, that is how to block the at the tail end.

Hi Jerry,
I would die without SKY (expensive and illegal of course via a Delboy and Rodney in Manchester!!!)
Nearly there but confused in top right hand corner. If 14A is lorikeet it is not a parrot at all so I may have that wrong. Hence I am struggling with 22A and 1D
Off to lunch!!!!
