trevor, You are right! Google tells me:

It is the attacking delivery of an off spin bowler. Off breaks are known as off spinners. ...

garbij ihn - your username has just given me a good laugh! OR = men. That's brilliant. So "One" means one man called IVOR.

Super - a couple of crosswords dispatched tonight and another well on the way! I'm off to bed now. 'Night.

Sorry, AB I missed your a b loom answer last night. I must have been typing at the time you posted it and then I posted my answer without noticing the prior post from you. So belated thanks for that.

I've a few still to go.

High flyer in a government department - possible PM. (9).
A - T - - - O - -

Lady taken to secure private rooms(5).

- - Y - A

I'm thinking it could be a woman's name, e.g. LAYLA, MOYRA but I don't get it.

I've got AFTERNOON stuck in my mind because of the PM but don't see the rest of the clue.

Thanks, AB. That must be right for AFTERNOON.

And asyla = secure private rooms, that's true. It must be that?

This would leave me with my final one which is:

Head of barristers to run Chamber(7).

B - (A) - D - R

The provisional A is from Asyla and so I was thinking of BOARDER earlier but I don't get the clue. Could besomething else entirely.

Thank you, terry as was. Bladder as chamber.
I did think of bladder in passing but dismissed it as didn't get the to run = to ladder or bladder as chamber.

All finished now. Many thanks, everyone.
On to the next!

Goodness, that's a surprise, trevor. Would never have got it. Thanks for that.

The Free dictionary's good isn't it? I have it saved in my favourites.
