Finding this tough. help with 19d 3a appreciated

Hollywoods behind God-awful gastly big old film (5,2,8), Think it might be 'Something something Gaslight' but might be way off the mark

Am also finding this a tough one - still to start on the north-east corner.

For neko 99,in case you're still struggling in NE:10a Try looking at clue backwards! 5d root of answer is Latin for ants! 7d Think what the first 2 words could refer to!OK?
