Leave taking small weight from island (4)

Best I can do is TOGO but doesn't really fit

Try Gozo

I came up with that in bed last night, but it still doesn\'t quite fit - why \'from\' ?

Leave = go.
Small weight = oz.
Put oz in go to get Gozo and the answer has come FROM the name of the island.
Not the best ever clue I agree but this is the only way I can explain it.

Yes, that's what I thought, I did wonder if 'from' was suggestiong it's go followed by oz backwards (instead of go with oz inside) but that's probably over complex.
