Good day in the pits with distinct backing for Chile[5,5]
The answer given I have is ' hello there'
I think this is an unfair clue and a silly answer. Anyone out there agree with me?

This was aexplained a few days ago:
pits=HELL
distinct=OTHER
Last letter of ChilE
Good day=HELLO THERE

Seems fair to me...

Its not a great clue - but I think it breaks down OK

I can also now see a reason to use the word Chile to get the last letter E, along with the pits reference.

Of course, its referencing the trapped Chilean miners.
