I`ve been away and will be again next week for a few days so may not post. Just re-read the previous Xword postings. Very well done indeed to Karen`s daughter getting such a good degree in (to my way of thinking anyway) such a difficult subject.

Old gal hope things get better every week now. What a lovely visit to Cotswold lavender place and Broadway. Is is still full of antique shops?

Another of us has been to Orkney. I remember it being full of artists and craftworkers.

No comments on crossword which I have not found easy.

Hello everyone.I have been following your forum for about 9 months now.I have loved the banter, and the clues, but recently got browned off with all the unwelcome folk giving answers.I'm glad it all seems to be sorted.About Xword 29,I just cannot get 8A.I have -U-E-M-T- help!

Hi Charlotte,
The three short words make an anagram relating to the first word.

Don't worry Charlotte - we've all been there! Welcome to the forum and look forward to your posts! It seems a bit quieter lately with some old friends not posting recently!

Hu Maisie.
A partial answer. Sell gran in a rut. I don't know what the son is there for.

Hu should read Hi.
Let that be a lesson to you. Don't drink and surf.

Good morning all,

It really is a pleasure to be able to communicate with you again as I've been in the wilderness since Ash altered the access to the Forum.

I had no problem registering my name but then found that I was unable to start a thread or add a reply. I emailed Ash, who was very helpful, but it was Adam, my son, who came to my rescue when he suggested that I used another browser other than Internet Explorer.

For that reason, I am using Google Chrome to access this site but I wasn't aware that I could use to different browsers at the same time. So what I'm going to do is use two browsers at the same time and I believe that Ash is aware that there are problems being experienced with Internet Explorer and is attempting to rectify matters.

My good wishes to you all and particularly to Old Gal, who is constantly in my thoughts.
