Are you sure about the first a, because MISSAL is a book used in Catholic Masses.

Was stuck on the very same clue, in fact was about to post the last 3 that could not work out from the very same crossword.

If is it missal then that could be Secret?

Yet if this is the case then M will be the 3rd letter of 20 across
