Hi all

Can anyone recommend an alternative to the Times Cryptic Jumbo? I love it and it keeps me busy all day, but I really don't want to give Murdoch my money this week.

Try the Genius on the Guardian website or guardian cryptic(not a jumbo though) or even AZED on same website

Tornface... I have been thinking the same,I love the cryptic jumbo, my husband is addicted to their killer Sodukos, and I love Caitlin Moran.

To give the Times their due, their editorial has spoken out against Murdoch and the bskyb nonesense.

I could give you a good online petition against Murdoch and his plan to rule the world, if you are interested!

Be careful what you wish for! The Times and Sunday Times are struggling, in common with most broadsheets, and are subsidised by the profits from the Sun and The News of the World - or rather were. If News Corp wanted to sell it - who would want it ?

I have to say that I did go out and buy it. I reckoned my £1.50 would make little difference and the crossword fills my Saturday, and Sunday morning wouldn't be the same without Samurai Sudoku. I won't be buying it tomorrow though.

I'd still welcome alternative suggestions.
