I can't work these out-I suppose that's a double entendre as well! Arf,Arf!
Can anyone help with the 2 clues above?

I thought it might be an anagram of gr(half grab) tools and t (beginning to tug) but all I can come up with is grot slot, which I'm pretty sure is wrong. Will keep trying though!

I've got the answer to the other one-it's ESCARGOT.
Rather an interesting usage of GROT SLOT though. I must present it at the Symposium next week.

Thanks for the refererence, will note for future use! Grot slot sounds very Viz, although I don't think I want to analyse the possible meanings!
