14A I've got DIALECTIC. Is that correct? It's messing me up with 15d 'Close call in hollowed out tree' t_r_a_a_e'. Can anyone help?

dialectic is right, for the other think 'close' as in finish. One of your letters is wrong

put on = do(n)
