Any ideas on 37 down and 47 down

What are the clues and number of letters. please? Do you have any letters?

If you are talking about the times2 rather than the cryptic, a later post suggests:
37D. Groundwork
47D. Impede

If you are talking about the cryptic version the answers are WHARFEDALE (Welsh evacuated gives WH, actor evacuated gives AR, given foof is FED and drink is ALE).
The other answer is FRESCO (novel is fresh, unfinished gives FRES,abvout is C and old is O)

Never mind AB,some of us do try!!
Pity about the other posters on this thread though.
