I have to ask Bread. Were they yor last two as well?

'Herman' was my last one to get - am afraid I can't remember what the penultimate one was.

Well hats off to all of you.
Thinking about it, crosswords are designed to stimulate the grey cells and when you get clues like these, and those of last weeks for that matter, it is a far better exercise than flying through it. After my initial 'annoyance' at the setter I congratulate him/her on causing the dialogue and teamwork displayed today.
I probably wouldn't be so generous had you left me groping in the dark!

I've just noticed it is a year to the day that I had a stroke during England drawing with USA in the world cup at half time (reason enough)
Keeping the mind active is essential to me and I take the opportunity to thank all contributors for their part in the process.
