I'm out most Tuesdays these days so tend to miss this. But I can confidently say that I would never have got No1. I saw 3 and 5 pretty quickly ( I expect having worked in Eygpt helped with 5).

No Tony - never heard of the seminars. I never really studied crossies and, if fact, am not a great solver. I just like setting clues. I'm a wee bit embarrassed to be mentioned in the same 'breath' as Mephisto.
