Cryptic Clue: Because in the middle of the week will slacken off
I suspect the answer is 'ease' and the quick clue should be slacken (yet another misprint in this crossword? if so,getting to be a regular occurence).Any other option?

AS inside EE = ease
so it looks like a misprint
