I think it must be Tweenie, the cryptic part gives:
T(WEEN)IE
TIE = 'Couple' as in to join together.
TINY = 'Wee'
N = 'New'
The word is not in any of my dictionaries but does show up in some on-line dictionaries where it is defined (sometimes as an abbreviation of 'Tweenager'!!) as a child between the ages of 8 & 12 - a pre-teenager.
There is also a BBC TV program for kids called The Tweenies.
