Believe 36a could be EXALT (22d 'FESTIVAL OF BRITAIN')

36a cannot be extol. It has A as its middle letter because of Festival of Britain and I think ends in T from 'investment' 24d.
I still need 36a 'praise highly'and 36d 'capable of being used profitably'
