Is that the entire clue Granny?....or is there some reference to a desk?

Thought it might be De(w-ar F-la)sk....but no mention of a desk in the clue

Maybe granny left something out? I don't know...double meaning for VESSEL? DESK another sort of vessel? Sounds unlikely use of the word, although it does have drawers and compartments for holding things.
