I'm not sure if the word star means that you have to come up with the name of a star. If so Sinatra fits.
If you don't need a star name then rivalry fits.

Thanks John Doe for your reply, but 'Star' was not revelant - rivaltry seems apt, but figured out answer to be Discord. Revised my grid - 21, Ac, Remember.(6). I had recall, but think it's pencil - (as in take note, or pencil in). Hope I'm right, that will complete xword for Irish Daily Star Paper, with magazine enclosed. Thanks again!
