Finished the puzzle (I think!) but some answers I'm not sure of...

1) Fish, trout, baked - entertaining starter in bistro (6) T?R?O? Could be turbot or tarpon? Can't see where the entertaining starter fits in..

2) Takes place over in desert? First to expect money back (6) R?B?T? I have REBATE, but I don't get the taking place over in desert

anagram of trout, entertaining starter in bistro means includes B (1st letter of bistro = turbot, a fish.

not quite so good but.....

takes place = be, over = eb

in desert(rat) = rebat

+ 1st (letter) of expect = e

all together now = rebate
