Sorry! In the interim I have solved 32 down (physical limitations) disabilities but I still would like to know if anybody can help me with the one from Times 2 crossword - 3 down celebrated French knight R - L - N - (and you don't have to be rude!)

It's ROLAND, but Terry is not really being rude. If you were to view the "New Thread" preamble you'll see why some of us get really annoyed. Courtesy is the watchword here.
