I think the 1st one might be Gambia. Note (G - musical note), a doctor (A MB. medical bachelor), - to one going to a - one(1), a (A)... blah blah.
A bit convoluted and contrived. Might be completely wrong.

Wheeze seems to fit the 2nd clue (inspiration - as in, breathe in.

)

Sorry, but the clue seems to say Socially Unacceptable.
