The next post I put on this site will be an alias just to see if the "report this" works.
I have never used an alias before because I have never had reason to.
It won't be very rude and my alias will be balls.

It definitely does work, as I have noticed that a couple of dodgy posts have been reemoved, including one for a pornsite that was posted on one of my threads. A few of the children posted swearwords and they too have been removed. It will return the site to its (usually) civilised norm.

This is just a suggestion:

Rather than us all hit the "Report Abuse" button, shall we appoint someone to do it as a regular thing whenever a troll posts? The last thing a moderator wants is dozens of people reporting the same thing.

To this end, who'll take the job? Not me because I'm not here as often as I'd like to be.

Now that Trevor's back - would it be you or Tonyw or Sally?

Perhaps one of you could volunteer your services.

I am quite happy to do so as long as Ash doesn't think I'm some sort of psycho! But I would think that any moderator would actually be happy enough if there were diplicate reports of offensive posts, as it then shows the number of peoeple who want it removed.

That would be wonderful. If other people do report abuse then so be it but I think that if we ALL did it, it would become too much of a pest for the moderator.

I have a feeling that perhaps the moderator will delete offensive words but perhaps not the actual New Topic which is a shame as so many of them just have one word on the thread.

It looks like only the actual post is removed, but not the thread or the name of the postee.
