I didn't realise (until now) that "offending" posts would not always be simply deleted, but could also be entirely changed to say something they never did in the first place. Post 42 of this thread did not originally read as it does now.

How can it be a good thing for Central Control take it on themselves to rewrite posts. Surely the only option should be to delete or leave alone. Looks like it will soon be time to abandon ship.
