Been struggling with this last one all week
Material left by Admiralty primarily material for building a sub (11)

Replacement
material = rep
Admiralty primarily =A
+ Cement
replacement = sub

should have said - material for building = cement

and Left by Admiralty primarily = L A
(not a good start to the day!..think I will go back to bed!)

REPLACEMENT

I got it because of the cement

so it's REP (a transversely corded fabric of wool, silk, rayon, or cotton) LA for Left Admiral and cement

I had to look up REP as I'd never heard of it!
