Yes, I got 'cooperate' - maybe because I'd already done the Independent on Sunday crossword where 14 Down was 'Little work before time in bed,having minimal energy to be of assistance' (9)!!

Thanks JimC - I'll go with that too - not the most fun crossword this week - thought the band might be something to do with barrels in a cooperage but maybe I'm thinking too much
