'splice the mainbrace' is an order to give a ship's crew an extra tot of rum.

Ok, most HTML things now seem to have been disabled.

We will have to live life in bland monochrome from now on, it seems.

This site may be a little less fun.

How sad :(

I'm not sure how disabling such things will prevent or moderate the thoughtless rudeness etc that crops up on this site. IP address blocking might have gone some way towards that, but I have no idea if this has also been done.
