Pleas would you clarify the pattern for the 1st clue: ? P ???? is 3 words or ?P???? 1 word.

I think the 2nd answer is SHAREWARE (SHE around A REWARd).

Hi Dillon. I think the second one is SHAREWARE (unlicenced computer programmes).
SHE containing A REWAR(D) (profit) reduced (having the last letter removed).
I can't help with any of the other ones. By the way, in the other post, I wasn't criticising you asking for explanations, I was criticising the poor clues in the Daily Mail crossword. Have you thought of trying the Daily Express - a much better crossword?

1st one might be Sprang.

Thanks for the answer 'Shareware' The letter 'I' was incorrect in my other clue.
The first clue is one word and the last clue pattern now reads T???T?E?

Hi Alchemist I didn't take your answer as a criticism and you are right about the Daily Mail. My husband gets so cross as the compiler doesn't obey usual crossword setting clues. Odd.

This one is TOGETHER (in company).
GOT (obtained) in recession, ie reversed + ETHER (anagram of there)
